Acid Reflux – EP

Acid Reflux
7″ EP
No Way Records

Holy Christmas! I knew that the name Acid Reflux implied I’d probably be hearing a band that would be a bit less than serious, but I wasn’t expecting anything in the realm of what I heard coming out of my stereo. Fast as crap hardcore punk rock is what they’re playing and goofy lyrics are in abundance (did you think I’d use “what they’re saying?” I’m not that lame I hope). They’re not going to win a punk rock medal for originality, but that’s more than ok, the music is great and the singer is perfect for it. Song about getting old? Check (“Old Timer“). Song about being a pissed off teenager? Check (“Do Your Parents Know You’re a Ramone?“). Random political song? Sort of check (“I’m No Soldier“). I didn’t say they weren’t a bit cliche, but they do kick complete ass. If you, like me, sometimes like your hardcore to be simply fast, loud and fun, head over and buy this single asap. 8 songs in 8 minutes? How can you go wrong?

Note: My scanner really hated the pink cover that my copy of this record came in, so I went over to No Way and stole an image from them.
Buy this EP from No Way Records. Really, go buy.
