Punk rock (and I got turned on to the Ramones in the late 70's) gave me the knowledge that there were losers like me out in the world who didn't give a shit for disco or classic rock or nice haircuts or for "normal" thinking. It turned out I probably got a lot more grief (I remember getting crap from a teacher because I liked Devo!)and rejection than if I NEVER got into punk, but in my view, as D Boon sang: Punk Rock Changed My Life(and for the better).

And it still means something to me!
