Strange Reaction was created as a vehicle for exploring the social, cultural, and historical impact of DIY punk rock and various other underground music subcultures. Some of that exploration will be journalistic in nature, and some will be an examination through the critical lens of philosophy. However, it won’t be entirely written in a dry and academic style that many readers would find inaccessible.
Strange Reaction also exists to help promote and disseminate knowledge and understanding of the music and ideas of DIY punk rock and other underground music subcultures.
But above all, Strange Reaction intends to be an interesting, thought-provoking read that exposes readers to new-to-them music and ideas, and to present new and interesting information and insights about bands and music that punk rock and underground music fans would enjoy learning.
